Be kind, the man is older than the redwood trees.

Geez, Rizzo, are you going to buy him dinner, too?
Pointy asked me if that guy is all kinds of touchy-feely or something.   I wonder..........

In comes Baez and time stops.

Well, Roberts, taking a page from Francona, goes with his best now.

Ha! I think Cederstrom (an ump well liked by the players, I hear) just teased Doc about how little he's seen him tonight.

I would hope that Doc came back with, "If I bring in Baez, with your deliberate style, this game ends on Friday"

There is that.

Does Kenley, provided he gets a quick out here, come out for the 9th, too?  Man, I really don't like using him this much.  Seems excessive in this spot.

Kenley being Kenley!

So, man, am I alone in not wanting to use him there? I'd much rather have gone with Stripling or even Baez. Kenley can't pitch every game.

Still the middle of the Cubbie lineup, I wouldn't chance it unless we open up a can of whipass in the eighth.

He may end up being in the next 3 games.

All I can think is that we best drop the biggest contract ever on a closer with Kenley. I know Chapman has a better negotiating postion, but Kenley has proven to be elite this off-season.
